Rang-ay Bank, the biggest bank in its class in the Ilocos and Cordillera Regions, celebrated 60 years of Countryside Banking with a thanksgiving luncheon held at Hotel Ariana, Bauang, La Union last January 16, 2016 hosted by Bb. Pilipinas- Supranational, Ms. Yvethe Santiago.
The thanksgiving celebration for the bank’s clients and partners started at 12 noon with Doxology, National Anthem, & Rang-ay Bank Hymn sung by the Saint Louis College chorale with their angelic voices followed by an opening number by the AC Events Dance Troupe.
The President and CEO, Mr. Ives Q. Nisce formally started the program with a welcome address followed by a testimonial video of Rang-ay Bank’s valued and pioneering clients while the visitors enjoyed their lunch.
The 60th Anniversary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects were launched during the celebration by one of the members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Jose Z. Osias. Among Rang-ay Bank’s commitments are: Donation of water pipes to farmers, Dental Hygiene program for Senior Citizens, Feeding Programs for day care students, Brigada Eskwela for Department of Education schools, Medical Missions for indigents, and donations to schools and orphanages. Rang-ay lives up to its commitment to give back something to the communities it serves.
In support to the promotion of education, Rang-ay is the principal supporter of a scholarship program through the PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation, named after the bank’s first President. So far, the foundation has helped 28 students become successful college graduates. During the celebration, PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation received a total of P60 thousand cash donation from Rang-ay Bank’s officers & staffs, which was matched with similar P60 thousand donation by the bank.
Pioneer and Valued Clients were recognized by the Bank’s Board with plaques of appreciation for their loyalty and patronage. Service Achievement Awards to six employees who have rendered service for more than 30 years at the bank were given together with a flat-screen TV and washing machine for each of the six.
Another highlight of the celebration was the Inspiring message given by the Guest of Honor & Speaker, Valentin Araneta, Monetary Board Member of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Congratulatory message was also given by Congressman “Pacoy” Ortega.
Noel G. Cabangon, singer, composer, music director, & stage actor provided entertainment to the guests. A raffle draw was held, led by the bank’s Area Managers, Ernesto Casison and Winnie Mingaracal. A Refrigerator, gas ranges, & LED TVs were the major prizes won by valued clients. Consolation prizes were also won by various clients and guests of the bank.
Everyone went home with loot bags of Rang-ay Bank giveaways and items from the bank’s business partners: Petnet-Western Union, BDO Remit, Uniteller, Globe G-Cash, ECpay Bills Payment Service, Country Bankers Life Insurance Corp., and Prudential Insurance.
